This is a three part Bible study is designed to equip youth with an understanding and knowledge of cultural discernment to use in their daily lives, so that they grow into resilient disciples. The objectives that are accomplished through the Bible studies include the students being able to define cultural discernment, identify cultural discernment in Scripture, identify scenarios in which cultural discernment is useful, and apply what Scripture says about cultural discernment to their own lives.

The theme verse for these studies is Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” This gives us a good starting point of a summary of what Scripture says about cultural discernment. The Scripture focus will be on various passages that define, explain, and give examples of cultural discernment within the Bible.
