In this study, teens will reflect on the importance of having a servant’s heart and living with humble devotion to God. This lesson is intended to be completed following participation in a servant event, as a review and preparation for future activities.
In this study, teens will consider what it means to serve, and why serving is an important component of our lives as Christians. Students will examine Scripture to discuss the meaning of serving others as though working for God. This lesson is intended to be completed prior to participation in a servant event, to prepare hearts and minds for work.
Finding ways to incorporate youth into the larger ministry of a congregation isn’t difficult, but it does take intentionality to make it happen. In the second part of this article, we talk about specific ways that you can help youth connect intergenerationally in your congregation.
The gathering and sharing of life together of young and old is one of the blessings and beauties of the church. But are there ways in which life together can extend beyond being together for worship? And why is it important that young and old share life together?
Our future will undoubtedly be shaped by these times, and those who work with Gen Z must consider the ways this pandemic may affect the youngest generation, and what we can do to continue to work with and reach them right now.
