While conversations around sexual purity have always been challenging, we know teens today are hearing more than ever about sex in songs, shows, and other forms of media. Our hope and goal is that this Conversation Guide helps you tackle, specifically, the complex conversations around sex & Biblical purity in a way that does not simply shame you and your teens, but leads all to a deeper understanding of God’s plan & purpose.
Teens are hearing all kinds of messages about dating from the world around them, so we as the church need to talk about what God says. This conversations can be hard but valuable. This conversation starter can help you lay a foundation for who an individual is in Christ apart from any dating relationship, how our value in Christ impacts our relationships, and what sacrificial love looks like.
If we equip young people to see everything in light of their value and identity in Christ, as a loved, chosen, forgiven child of God, it will change their relationships. Not only that, but this foundation will impact every single area of their lives.

In the past, issues of dating and relationship violence prevention was limited to adults who were in serious committed relationships, but over the past years, I have begun to see how important it is to discuss this topic with teens as well.
