Sharing Scripture and Prayer on Social Media

Regular Instagram and Facebook posts can help your young people engage with scripture and prayer during their everyday screen time.

It can also help give them an opportunity to share it with those who are connected to them. Below are two Facebook or Instagram pictures with Bible verses from the Lectionary for you to use per week. You can simply post the scripture, add thoughts from the previous Sunday or other encouragement.

Simply click on the image and then right click to save it to your computer for use.

For youth, one of the key ways they interface with apps like Instagram is through the stories feature.

This might take a little more time and energy to figure out than traditional posting, but it’s worth it. These images below are designed to be used as in your ministry’s story. We hope they help you engage youth and consider how you can use this feature in the future.

The prayers for these posts come from the Lutheran Service Book (available from Concordia Publishing). Simply click on the image and then right click to save it to your computer for use.
