It’s time! It’s time to get into our routines of school, work, Sunday school and running our kids all over town for all of their activities! But it is also time to start signing up for the 2013 National LCMS Youth Gathering in San Antonio, Texas!
By now, we hope you have received some Pre-Gathering materials. You also will be given a DVDROM that includes the Introduction Gathering Video. If you haven’t received these yet, no worries. You can get all the info you need on the Gathering website.
There is a very important number that you will need from now until the time of the Gathering and that is your congregation ID number. This will appear on your Pre-Gathering mailing. If you haven’t received an ID number or are unclear of what your number is, please contact the registration office at nygregistration@lcms.org. This is the number that you will be registering for the Gathering with. It is also the identification you need to check your group in when you get to San Antonio.
At this point I would recommend having an initial information meeting with your students, if you haven’t already. Primary Adult Leaders (the person who will be the primary leader in your group) can already begin entering information online using their congregational ID. To be in the Priority Window, all of your information needs to be entered and the registration packet needs to be postmarked no later than October 30. Traditionally, most congregations who sign up for the Gathering sign up during the Priority Window. So, start gathering names of youth and adults who are interested in going. Make a goal to have your numbers and info in sometime in the next few weeks. Start thinking about who is going and how you are going to get there! Don’t put it off any longer my friends. It’s time!
